01 · In short

Privacy, in plain language.

Plantekn is a floor plan and interior design app for iPhone and iPad. The app does not collect personal data about you. No account, no server, no tracking, no advertising.

There is no backend behind the app. That is not a policy we chose to follow, it is a technical fact: there is no server to send data to. Everything you make stays on your device, and in your own iCloud if you turn that on.

02 · Data

What the app actually stores.

The app stores only what you make yourself, plus some technical settings:

· Your floor plans: rooms, furniture, doors, windows, stairs, floors, notes and freehand drawing. Stored as files in the .plantekn format (JSON).

· Images you add as a tracing background (Photo Trace, a Pro feature). Stored inside your project file.

· App settings: language, market for area terminology and the calculator, units, grid and snap sizes, light or dark mode, 3D settings, and whether you have seen the introduction.

· Local counters: how many times the app has been opened, whether you have rated it, how many times the Pro screen has been shown. These decide only when the app should ask you something, and never leave the device.

· Pro status: whether you have bought Plantekn PRO.

None of this is sent to us or to any third party. We cannot see your floor plans, and we do not know that you use the app.

03 · Storage

On your device. Optionally iCloud.

Data is stored on your device in the app's private folder, and in your iCloud Drive (iCloud.com.jonas.Plantekn) if you have iCloud enabled. If iCloud is unavailable, everything stays local only. You can see what is active under Settings → About → Storage.

Plantekn has no access to your iCloud account. Apple syncs the files between your own devices on your behalf, the same way it does with a document in Files. Apple's privacy policy for iCloud.

If you share a plan yourself, as a PDF, image, HTML or .plantekn file, it goes wherever you choose to send it. From that point your sharing method, email or AirDrop for instance, decides who can see it.

04 · Camera

The camera is used only for measuring.

The app asks for camera access in one place: AR measuring, where you measure rooms and distances by pointing at floors and walls. The measuring happens live on the device. No pictures are recorded, nothing is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere.

If you decline camera access, the rest of the app works as before. You lose only AR measuring.

05 · Photo Trace

The image you pick stays with you.

If you use Photo Trace (Pro), you pick an image from your photo library through Apple's own photo picker. The image is handled only on your device and is stored inside the project file as part of it. Plantekn never asks for access to your whole photo library, only the single image you point at.

Apple Pencil and haptic feedback use standard iOS APIs. No data is collected.

06 · Purchases

Apple handles payment.

Buying Plantekn PRO is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We receive only a signal that the purchase went through. We do not see payment details, card numbers or billing addresses, and we do not know who bought it.

When the app asks you to rate Plantekn, it uses Apple's standard prompt. The rating is handled by Apple. We only know whether you chose to go on to the rating, not what you wrote or how many stars you gave.

07 · Third parties

No tracking. No analytics.

There is no analytics or tracking technology in Plantekn. We do not use Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics, AppsFlyer, Adjust, TelemetryDeck or anything similar. No IDFA, no advertising identifier, no ad networks. The app contains no third party SDKs at all.

The only third party involved is Apple, through the App Store, iCloud, StoreKit and the system rating dialog. Apple's terms and privacy policy apply to those services.

08 · Your rights

Your rights, and why they are simple.

The GDPR gives you the right to access, correct, delete and receive a copy of the personal data a business holds about you.

Since Plantekn collects no personal data, we have nothing to disclose, correct or delete. That is not a formality: there is no database with you in it.

You have full control over your own files. Export them whenever you want, as .plantekn, PDF, image or HTML. To delete everything, remove the projects in the app, remove them from iCloud Drive, or delete the app.

09 · Children

Safe at any age.

Plantekn is not aimed at children, but it is safe at any age, because the app collects no personal data, has no sign in, no advertising and no social layer where anyone can get in touch with you.

The only purchase in the app is the one-time purchase of Plantekn PRO, which goes through Apple's normal purchase dialog and can be blocked with Screen Time.
